[mood |boredI hate studying >_]

Whoa. This is pretty nearly the coolest thing ever. Some guy in my elevator told me about it the other day, and I just got around to checking it out.
The idea is that you enter a favourite song, artist, whatever, and it... somehow... formulates a radio station made up of songs similar to the one you chose. How sweet is that? So far I'm really enjoying it. But it's so fun I keep picking new stuff to see what it thinks I'll like. XD;; It doesn't seem to like musical theatre at all, unfortunately, but I can live with that.
Interestingly enough, no matter what I choose, it seems to involve "a subtle use of vocal harmony". Also interesting, it seems that alot of the things I like finds its roots in 80s music. Nooooo.....
Seriously though, it's pretty sweet.

edit// a day later I am also a bit worried about the large amounts of Whitesnake and Judas Priest appearing on my lists. Man, my musical tastes are laaaame. Seriously. No matter what I choose, after I go through and tell it more about what I like and don't like, I always end up with Whitesnake or Judas Priest. XD;;

[mood |irritatedby bad rap done by bad rappers]

Dear Guy in the Shower:
I understand the desire to sing in the shower. And, perhaps, if your music tastes include rap, to rap in the shower. And I understand that if a gaggle of girls stand outside the shower and giggles, you may want to continue for the attention that you gain. However, this should only continue for so long. Past 15 minutes, for instance, is too long. There are other people on this floor who definitely want to take showers. I am one of them. However, I am not comfortable with showering during your performance. So, for the love of God, stfu.

Thank you

PS- You suck.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In November I committed genocide... Sorry about that, kenji597 (-5000 points). Last week I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). Last Friday I punched the_zodiac in the arm (-10 points). Last Monday on a flight to Vancouver, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). In October I set musicisforever's puppy on fire (-66 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-5124 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!

Write your letter to Santa! Enter your LJ username:

OMG, Scott! I'm so sorry! T_T I didn't mean to kill your entire race. It was an accident! Please forgive me from beyond the grave~
And Wade, please don't pucnh me back! It'll hurt. ;-; You know I didn't mean it!
And Becky... well, I have no excuse for setting your puppy on fire. That was just plain mean.

And yes, that is my entire update. XD;;;

Is it sad that, despite now living in Toronto (actually, in Vaughan. I got scolded today for that XD;;) hearing "snow in the Delhi area" on the radio still makes me excited? Not only did they actually SAY Delhi on the radio, there's gonna be snow! Rock on!

No, it isn't sad. Shut up, all of you. XD;;;

Christmas [Sep. 27th, 2005|10:45 am]
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but what's the schedule for Christmas holidays? It doesn't say on the schedule for religious significance!

I had a tonne of stuff to talk about here, but then bortron and co walked into the basement. And Alfred was like ".... puma!" and I'm like "Red vs Blue?" and they're like "How did you know that?!". Turns out there's some RvB on the latest demo disc that EGM sent out. Frickin' weird. o_O
So now I'ma watch some rvb. Maybe I'll write that long post later. But not likely. XD;;

I just called / to say / NOOOOOOOOOO [Jun. 13th, 2005|02:01 pm]

Alright. Most of these are damn funny, but this one is killer. Killer. Seriously. XD;;;

And yes, I am studying. You may find that hard to beleive, but it's true. Really. I am.

Oh, this one's good, too. And this one's only amusing because I've had that song in my head all day.

And, in closing: ooooOOOOON!

bwahahahaha! ok, I'm done.

EDIT// NOOOOOOO!. But Mel and I were just talking yesterday about how Nintendo may be saving its hardware ass by giving us free games. I mean, we all download roms anyway, so why not give then away and give us cause to love you again? Oh, Nintendo, you were so close! T____T

Watching saturday morning cartoons while I think about doing homework.
Since when has Master Splinter had a cell phone?

Also, I missed MewMew Power by an hour. Thank god. >_<
And does anyone even play the Pokemon TCG anymore?

Oh, how I love FoxBox.

9:ooIt isn't? o_O

9:39 You know who I'm sick of? Salvador Dali. Yeah, he's cool. He paints clocks that are melting, and that's kind of kick ass. But everyposer and her brother lists him as their favourite painter of all time, not because they've formed a critical opinion of his work as compared to the other artists of his period, or because they understand why the clocks are melting. No. They choose him because clocks melting is cool shit and it's a relatively interesting painting. Most of these kids have never even been to a museum! And most of them have only ever seen The Persistence of Memory. Ask'm to name another Dali painting, and... hell. They probably can't even name Persistence.

10:35 OMFG. I have to do ANOTHER thing on bloody Dali? >_____< Think I could just hand in the mini rant from above?

12:29 I gotta go to bed soon. I didn't get enough sleep last night to merit staying up all night tonight. XD;; Not like I have much choice.
But get this! In my research on Social Science in the InterwarPeriod, I learn that Carl Jung used the words albedo, nigredo and rubedo. Who recongnises these terms? (probably just me. XD;;) They were the real names of some of the characters from Xenosaga! So, I go to Wikipedia and look up Jung, and find that Jung's works were part of the thematic base of both Xenosaga and Xenogears. When I have more time I'm seriously going to do some extensive reading to see if I can find the similarites. Then, I'm going to get my goddamned PS2 repaired. Then, I'll finish Xenosaga2 (or not. XD;;) and play Xenogears and feel super smart because I'll understand everything.

12:33 ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Collective Unconcious! Like what the brothers of A., R. and N. had! How cool! So.. oh man! As soon as I get a chance this is gonna make fantastic reading. *excited*

12:38 Gotta love 226 word essays. XD

Dear John Maynard Keynes
Your essay would be infinitely more bearable if, instead of saying"not infrequently", you would say"frequently". Even "often". Is "not infrequently" necessary? No. It's dumb. Get a life.
Love, Amanda

2:03 Done and done! :D Oh, and for everyone who used to like Weezer, back in the day, and then didn't like their more recent works, but then really liked Beverly Hills (or maybe that's just me XD;;): Don't get the new album. It's really crap. I'll leave it on my playlist and see if it grows on me but I'm pretty sure it won't. How dissapointing. T_T

Scary! ;o; [Apr. 26th, 2005|03:01 pm]
They're filming the Silent Hill movie in Branford! How scary. ;__; See if I ever go there again.
It's just that scary to me. (and it's not like I've even played them. Hell, I've been avoiding those games like the plague.)
